Typhoon Odette: Assisting Pastors in the Philippines

“Typhoon Odette Relief Efforts”
To assist some of the victims of Typhoon Odette on December 16th, 2021, local Filipino Pastors and Kim Kidd Ministries are coordinating relief efforts in South Leyte and in Bohol, Philippines. Currently we are distributing water, raw rice, and making assessments of the damage in these areas so we can pray and prioritize. Our goal will be restoring churches and or pastor’s homes while feeding those in need through their local churches. Currently we are collecting many items to be shipped abroad so His church can be there for those in need.
Collecting New or Used: Bedsheets of any size, towels, washcloths, all types of XS-XL sizes of clothing items for children, teens, and adults except heavy winter wear. Plastic cups, plates, bowls, cooking utensils, and shoes of all sizes are accepted!

Calipataan's Water Reservoir Project
Old Water Source Before… In January 2021 we learned that the only water reservoir source for Calipataan was dangerous to use. Their seniors had difficulty getting to it because of the slippery mud surrounding it. Locals must dip their buckets into this narrow opening because there were no water pumps.

The Philippines has had the most severe government lockdown than any other country. KKM has been working closely with local pastors to distribute rice to families that are in desperate need. I cannot stress enough that hunger is rapid!
Since March-December 2020, we purchased #56 X-Large bags of raw rice at the cost of $45.00 US dollars each, and they were distributed to #17 Leyte pastors in many different locations to help them reach the lost. One bag can feed hundreds! Since their government is not planning on reopening their country to foreigners until end of 2021, and they are not planning to reopen local travels from provinces to province for Filipino’s until late 2021, we are coordinating with local pastors to assist them in feeding hundreds more!
This is an opportunity for us to reach the hurting including the hardest of hearts while demonstrating the love of Jesus and testifying to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Each month we are sending funds for more rice to help pastors and thier congregations. Our first outreach will be in Calipataan February 2021 and then again at other locations and times in the year. I am asking for believers to partner with me in this effort! Thank you everyone!

Help purchase materials to build in remote areas. The people of Calipataan and those in the mountain region of Cangag Isabel need a dry place to worship!

FEED THE HUNGRY
Help feed those we serve by providing a hot meals for $1.00 each, purchase XL bags of raw rice, or donate to help purchase tools and seeds for planting!
CHICKENS & LIVESTOCK
Help purchase more chicken’s and livestock for families in poverty. Families are learning the principles of tithing by giving away chicks and eggs to other families in need!
NEW SCHOOL BUS IS NEEDED
Help more students attend PromisedLand the only Christian School and High School in the city of Palompon!
