This home was built by the body of Christ with free labor, expecting no wages demonstrating “Christ Love” and breaking off a spirit of selfishness, division, and poverty. All three of the Tilyo’s adult children received Jesus Christ before learned about the new boat and supplies. When we told the family about restoring their livelihood with a new fishing boat and supplies Mrs. Tilyo’s who had been clinically depressed experienced total freedom from her depression as she cried then laughed, then cried and then laughed again over and over!  Mr. Tilyo who had suffered two strokes was provided a new wheelchair. When the locals heard that Christian’s in America were going to build a house for respected Elder Tilyo’s they all began to say, “God Remembers Calapitaan!”  When local pastor, Pastor Joel Marquez, heard of this project for Mr. Tilyo he asked the question, “Lord, why Mr. Tilyo get this big blessing of house and boat?” He told us that, the Lord reminded him of when Tilyo had his first stroke many years ago and he would walk to the church that was far, dragging his left side, twice losing his balance and falling into the muddy rice fields, and his ability to quote scriptures and share God’s Word with anyone who would listen!
