STREET ORPHANS OF PALOMPON

“Father of the fatherless and protector of widows,
is God in His holy habitation.” Psalm 68:5

In 2017 Kim became aware of these children and that no one was doing anything for them. So she challenged the church to rise up and take on this task of reaching out to these precious little ones and since then we have seen many come off the streets, be reunited to relatives, get into school, and or taken in by a Christian family.

Pastor Joel and his wife Annabelle took the responsibility of this ministry and we send them monthly financial support to feed and care for these children. Trust in adults is being restored as Jesus is continually taught and demonstrated in our ministry to the street orphans of Palompon, Leyte Philippines. Through consistency in being there for them they get to see a love and friendship that is committed to them. Pastor Joel is raising up youth leaders to help in this growing ministry who have become a vital part as they work with the children.

Every Sunday the children know they can count on a hot meal and spending the afternoon together with our ministry team. Abandoned at such young ages many are accustomed to doing what they want when they want, and they have learned how to survive on the streets. The love and tenderness from our outreach team is building strong relationships with these children. They are coming to faith in Jesus and realizing that their life can be so very different.
